Stacy's Zines

I first made zines as part of the 1980s Southern California punk rock scene. Zines are self-published and sometimes handmade booklets and magazines. They are truly a DIY and accessible form of creativity that is available to all of us, which is why I love them.

With my friends in the 1980s, I made Anti-Establishment fanzine, a political zine with articles, poems, show reviews, and band interviews. I also made poetry zines until around 1991 or so. After not making zines for nearly 20 years, I was surprised to discover a vibrant zine culture today. I started making zines again in my 40s and have been accepted for several amazing festivals, including Portland Zine Fest, LA Zine Fest, Long Beach Zine Fest, Orange County Zine Fest, Claremont Zine Fest, and Redlands Zine Fest. I'm super thankful for the creative and beautiful people in the welcoming zine community!

Some of my zines I've created since 2013 are for sale at my etsy shop.
